Algarve Resorts - Armacao de Pera

Armacao de Pera is a newish resort, some 30 miles west of Faro. The historic town of Silves is ten miles inland. Armacao is less than 10 miles from the resort of Carvoeiro. The resort is busy in the summer months, but makes a wonderful winter holiday destination when out of season. The resort is well spread out, with lots of hotel and apartment buildings, but does not feel over crowded. Amacao prides itself on having some of the finest fish restaurants in The Algarve.
There are several lovely beaches which stretch along the shoreline. The beach at Senhora de Rocha is close by, and is quite exceptional.
The nearby village of Pera is charming, and has hardly changed, and is worth visiting.
For a restful holiday, this is perfect for couples and families.
