Algarve Resorts - Carvoeiro

Carvoeiro is a delightfully relaxing resort, some 30 miles from Faro. The resort is hilly, and from the cliffs there are wonderful sea views. Although only small, Carvoeiro is laid back and picturesque. The resorts of Praia de Rocha, Portimao and Alvor are all less than 10 miles away. The town of Lagoa is three miles inland, and worth a visit. The ancient town of Silves is a short drive away.
The town square is next to the main beach, and has live entertainment throughout the summer. In addition to the main beach, there are many little coves to explore. Boat trips are available from the Town Square.
There is a good selection of bars and restaurants. Nightlife is on the quiet side, but there is plenty of choice in nearby Portimao, just a fifteen minute drive.
For visitors looking for a laid back, peaceful holiday, or a base for exploring The Algarve, Carvoeiro is the place for you.
