The best time for playing golf is after the summer season is over and the weather is slightly cooler. However, there is nothing to stop enthusiasts have a round or three in summertime, when the wife or partner is sunning themselves on the beach. The most popular time is September to May. Can there be anything better than escaping the British winter to play golf in The Algarve. Even in the depths of the Algarve winter (when temperatures can plunge to below 20 degrees Celsius!) you are guaranteed at least six hours sunshine.
Many of the best courses are located in the Central Algarve area, with lots around the Vilamoura and Albufeira region.
