Places to Visit - Olhao

Olhao is the largest fishing port in the Algarve. Very close to Faro, it is next door to the Ria Formosa Nature Park. Naturally, the fish restaurants in Olhao are acclaimed throughout the region. There is a seafood festival each August, with folk music, great food and lots of chilled wine.
Olhao has nice beaches, and easy to get to the islands of Ilha da Culatra and Ilha da Armona, which have very attractive beaches. The beach at Ilha da Armona is one of the best in the Algarve.
